I’m Matilda - a third-year journalism student studying Communications at RMIT.

As a young girl, I was a voracious reader with an affinity for creative writing. This later evolved into an interest in the media and international relations after becoming familiar with the nightly news. I believe my attention to detail and insatiable curiosity to know more has allowed me to cultivate a strong foundation in social media integration in journalism, reportage, and communications.

In my second year at RMIT, I undertook Politics and Communication and Work, Politics and Technology.

Additionally, I took Foundations of Public Relations and Social Media Management, where I took a keen interest in learning about stakeholder relations, campaign strategy, risk and crisis communication, and finding ways to enhance brand image.

During my final year of study, I am looking forward to strengthening my written, video, presenting, and content production/editing skills.
